The Wadden Bird Festival
The entire weekend is dedicated to birdwatching for a good cause. There are plenty of activities, including a Bird Fair, the Texel Big Day, and many guided birding excursions. The Wadden Bird Festival offers everyone the chance to enjoy birds in their own way, while raising awareness and funds for bird conservation. On Texel, you can spot an incredible variety of bird species without disturbing nature. Come to Texel and experience the island’s amazing birdlife!
Buitengewoon Texel - Market
Texel is bursting with culture, and this will be highlighted during the Uitmarkt BuitenGewoon Texel. Artists, museums, events, performers, musicians, and galleries will present themselves and showcase the cultural diversity of our beautiful island. The start of Kunst Zomer Texel (Texel Art Summer) will also take place. It promises to be a wonderful day with various performances, street theater, and a market featuring Texel artists, so come and take a look!
Heino's Beer Garden Special Beer Festival
The special beer festival “Heino's Beer Garden” is organised in the park of Den Burg, around the Glazen Huis.
The Heino's Beer Garden Festival was created in honour of Heino Huizing: a true icon of gastronomy, founder of this special festival and a popular face on Texel. This festival is all about passion, conviviality and a love of beer. Enjoy live music while sampling more than 20 (!) different speciality beers on tap!
Opening hours: Friday 4 p.m. – 10 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 1 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Entrance is free.
Ronde om Texel
The Ronde om Texel is an annual sailing race around the island. This international competition – the largest catamaran race in the world – covers a distance of about 100 kilometres. It’s not only an incredible challenge for the sailors, but also a spectacular and unforgettable event for spectators!
Funfair Den Burg
The annual fair is being held on Groeneplaats in Den Burg. More than 20 attractions, large and small, are being set up on Groeneplaats.
Summer market
Do you also enjoy visiting markets? Strolling past fresh produce, local delicacies, and beautiful souvenirs. There is a weekly market, and there are additional markets during the summer period.
Wednesdays in Den Burg are all about the Summer Market. In the shopping street and on the square, you will find all kinds of stalls selling regional products, Texel crafts, clothing, and souvenirs. There is live music and activities for children.

The market starts at 11:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. on the Groeneplaats in Den Burg.
Texelblues
No less than three days of Texel Blues Festival in almost all restaurants and bars in Den Burg during this 37th edition. Blues musicians from home and abroad play on small stages throughout Den Burg.
Every year, enthusiasts eagerly await Texel Blues, where they can enjoy their favorite music in the cafés. It is a glorious weekend in which artists play their hearts out and celebrate conviviality.
