Texel Culinair brings together flavour and atmosphere. In the charming Dorpsstraat in De Koog, you can sample more than 100 dishes that tie in with the 2026 theme, ‘Burgundian’. At Texel Culinair, just like in Burgundy, we love good food and drink. But this year, we’re placing extra emphasis on our own roots. With a nod to Texel’s farmers and local producers, we spell ‘BOERgondisch’ with an ‘OE’. Their fresh, home-grown produce forms the basis of the themed dishes. Think pure flavours, wholesome ingredients and dishes that centre on the story of Texel. Participants make the most of Texel’s produce wherever possible: lamb, prawns, sheep’s cheese, salt-kissed vegetables, locally brewed beers and more.

No less than three days of Texel Blues Festival in almost all restaurants and bars in Den Burg during this 37th edition. Blues musicians from home and abroad play on small stages throughout Den Burg. Every year, enthusiasts eagerly await Texel Blues, where they can enjoy their favorite music in the cafés. It is a glorious weekend in which artists play their hearts out and celebrate conviviality. Once again this year, the historic centre of Oosterend will be transformed into a charming Christmas scene. The Christmas market has traditionally always been very popular. There is a wide variety on offer, including Christmas decorations, original gift items, vintage products and delicious Christmas treats. The combination of the illuminated stalls, the live music in the Maartenskerk and the many beautiful Advent windows makes a visit to the Christmas market well worth your while. Opening hours: 3.00 pm to 4.00 pm especially for people with reduced mobility, and 4.00 pm to around 8.00 pm for everyone.
